Delete your account

In the app

1. Sign in and open your account settings.
2. Select Delete account.
3. Confirm your account email and enter your password if you use password sign-in.
4. Read the notice and confirm deletion. You will be signed out.

By email, even without access to the app

Email [email protected] from your account address with the subject “Chaggu account deletion request”. State that you want your account and associated data deleted. If you cannot access that email, contact [email protected] for identity verification. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.

We verify the request to prevent someone else from deleting your account. Our privacy policy provides a maximum of 30 days to delete or anonymize data, subject to the exceptions below.

What is deleted or anonymized

• Your account identity and sign-in details, including name, email, password, profile and avatar.
• Your sessions and sign-in connections. The account loses access to companies, spaces and conversations.
• Personal reminders and the account's WhatsApp connection.
• Files in your personal space are removed from access and their storage deletion is processed.

What may be retained and why

Deleting your account does not delete companies or other participants' conversations. Messages and files shared in company spaces may remain part of that company's records, under its control. Security and audit logs are retained for up to 24 months, and data subject to a legal retention obligation is kept for the applicable period. Account deletion does not instantly erase every backup copy.
